A New Standard for Intraoperative Monitoring

Our AI-IONM approach, supported by a portfolio of integrated solutions, continuously analyzes intraoperative neuromonitoring (IONM) data—delivering real-time insight that helps detect risk earlier and support more informed surgical decision-making.

The Problem

A Critical Gap in Surgical Care

More than 86% of high-risk surgeries in the U.S. are performed without intraoperative neuromonitoring (IONM)—leaving critical neurovascular structures at risk. Millions of patients each year undergo procedures without the real-time insight needed to detect and prevent potential damage.

AI-IONM APPROACH

Expanding Accessto Surgical Insight

Our mission is to bring IONM to all 3.8 million high-risks surgeries in the US each year. We developed Sentinel, an AI-powered IONM platform that works for all surgeons, human and robot-assisted, to help them improve outcomes and preserve patient quality of life.

Supported Surgeries

Spinal Degeneration

1.2 million patients undergo spinal surgery in the US each year, and up to 38% of the patients in unmonitored spinal fusion surgery experience nerve root irritation and/or pedicle wall breaches. Techniques like fluoroscopy and traditional IONM improve the success rate of these surgeries, but each comes with significant drawbacks and limitations. The SENTINEL AI-IONM Platform integrates with popular EMG equipment to support AI-powered monitoring in real time.

100,000 patients undergo a radical prostatectomy (RP) in the US each year to remove their cancerous prostates, and 100% of the patients demonstrate complete short-term (2-year) impotence and incontinence following surgery. Urologic surgeries are not currently monitored, but the Sentinel AI-IONM, coupled with vascular monitoring for urinary and rectal incontinence and erectile function, will help surgeons transform patient quality of life for 100,000 men each year.
